CSPIA Compliance
What is CSPIA?
CPSIA is designed to allow the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) to better regulate the safety of products made and imported for sale in the U.S. CPSIA also contains regulations that are intended to make products for children under age 12 safer by requiring manufacturers and importers to show that these products do not have harmful levels of lead and phthalates.
What does this mean for YOU?
Purchasing safety eyes that have been properly tested by a third party ensures that the product you receive is SAFE. If you are creating finished pieces intended for children under 12 years of age, your eyes and/or noses should not contain lead and other chemicals. Rest assured, with Suncatcher Craft Eyes, your eyes are proven safe to use. Some states require a certificate of compliance in order for you to sell your finished goods at local markets/online. Be sure you check your local regulations!
Does CSPIA Compliance effect me?
YES! Our manufacturer takes extra time and care with their product. Not only do they make your eyes safe to use, they are inspecting the product often! Quality control ensures that we receive top of the line product. Our eyes are clear and free from bubbles and defects. This allows for a more beautiful finished piece. It will also effect pricing. While we do the best to minimalize costs to our customers, we do pay a higher price in order to offer the best.
